Motivation

Use other people’s success as self motivation.  So often we get down on ourselves as we compare ourselves to others.  In the gym and most cases in life someone else’s success doesn’t mean our failure.  We all have opportunities to succeed.  Make the most of what you do have instead of looking at what you don’t have.  Look for the positive in all situations.  Do not dwell on circumstances beyond your control.  Focus on what you can do.  Be happy for others.  Use that positive energy to better yourself.  If you are having a bad day look to help someone else.  Feel the comfort and bask in the joy that your help brings to another.  Then use that energy to help yourself.  Staying positive is hard for a lot of us.  This is probably why I write about it so often.  I need to remind myself how to stay upbeat.  Happiness comes in the journey, it is not a single destination.

Strength

10 minutes to set a 1 Rep Max Press.

Strategy

5 minute As Many Rounds as Possible. This should look familiar to our strength that we do. Today we are adding some jump rope. Think about trying to do one round per minute on the minute. Instead of a rest like we do in our strength you will be doing jump rope or double unders. This is the same workout that we did on April 12th at CrossFit Forest. The goal is 5 rounds today.
