Motivation
So proud of my daughter Taylor.  On Monday morning I took the kids to school.  Dallin starts kindergarden 30 minutes before the other kids so they get to play with their friends before school starts.  Taylor stayed with me while I walked Dallin to class.  Taylor then went to her playground to play.  We have a friend of ours that Sarah went to elementary – high school with who also has two kids at the same school.  They are the same age as Dallin and Taylor and are in the same classes.   Their son who is in Taylor’s class had a rough start to school last week.  As I was walking back to the car I noticed he was wondering around the playground looking very dejected.  So sad to see a second grader not looking happy on the playground.  Taylor waived goodbye to be but I waived her over to me. She came running over and I asked her if she would try to play with our friend’s son.  They have been friends since they were very little.  Taylor not only went over to play with him but she gathered some of her other friends first.  I watched as she attempted to bring him into her group.  While he did not accept her invitation and her friends quickly walked off to play their game she stuck with him for another couple of minutes until it was clear that he just didn’t want to play.  I was impressed to see her stay with him while her friends left.  Taylor has always had an easy time making friends.  She has also showed compassion towards others.  I can only hope that she recognizes this ability and keeps striving to help others.
