Motivation

Last week Dallin had to stay home sick so that meant Ryan had to ride her bike to school by herself.  When I met her after school to ride back to the gym she was all smiles. She told me riding her bike by herself was fun.  Just the reaction I was hoping for.  Being independent is “fun.”  

Ryan explained to me that on her way to school her chain fell off when she was shifting the gears.  She was able to remember how to put the chain back on.  

As parents we want our kids to be independent and solve their own problems.  Turns out so do they.  Prepare them to take on the world and then give them opportunities to do so.
