Tearing down barriers and seeing ourselves for our true potential.  I was just working with one of my teenage soccer athletes.  I have taken a different approach while working with the boys of this under 15 team.  I have been working technique and not allowing them to left heavy weight.  This has been both good and bad.  Good in that their technique is really good.  Bad in that they think the weight they are lifting is on the heavier side.  Because of this they are hesitant to add weight.  Over the past few months I have had Matt do hundred’s of hang power cleans.  We have worked up to 75# for sets of 10.  Today he did a full power clean for a set of 5 at 105#.  There are few things in life better than seeing someone’s face when they accomplish something they didn’t think they could do.  Followed by a smile that tells of the realization that they will be able to accomplish amazing things.  Believe in yourself.  It is time to be awesome.

Today’s focus is more on technique than speed.  Try to have two distinct fluid movements.  Stay on a steady pace.  3-5 repetitions every 30 seconds.
