Motivation
Monday was a fun day in the gym. I enjoy seeing what team workouts bring out of people. Generally one person is stronger at the movements than the other therefore becomes the motivator. The partner gets a lot out of the workout because they have the constant encouragement. When we have two evenly matched partners than we get to see some impressive times because each is being motivated to push faster than they normally would.
Morgan’s Birthday party was pretty awesome. We had the party at a park where the kids went ice blocking, played capture the flag, basketball, and soccer. It was great to see the kids organize their own games. There is a lost art of pick up games. They even included some other kids at the park in on their basketball games. I’m so thankful that Morgan’s friends are physically active and love playing sports. She is 12 years old and I know the day will come when boys will occupy more and more of her time and thoughts. Trying to keep those days from coming as long as possible.
Strength
Everyone will do Deadlift today.
Workout Strategy
You will need to quickly find a pace that you believe you will be able to hold. This is a longer workout and requires some good pacing. Squat Cleans will take the most energy out of you, so give yourself some time to rest before the Burpees. Maybe allow yourself 45-60 seconds to do the Squat Cleans and 30 seconds for the burpees. I want you to focus on good technique. Make sure you control your breathing.
