[tab]Motivation

This past weekend I got to take the family up to Lake Arrowhead.  We have friends who have a cabin up there.  We just lounged around and listened to talks from an annual conference broadcasted by our church.  There is something soothing about being in the mountains among the tall pine trees and sounds of nature.  The talks were especially moving for me as there were numerous stories of people overcoming their adversities and trials.  

I find it amazing that it is the hardships we endure together that create meaningful experiences, friendships, and bonds.  Many speakers talked about happiness.  There is truth behind the idea that we find lasting happiness as we willfully and intentionally take upon ourselves the burdens of life.
