[tab]Motivation

Surprisingly difficult.  While I love writing these motivational pieces they are surprisingly difficult for me.  I find it interesting how hard it is to change some of our natural tendencies.  I consider myself a pretty well adjusted person but a long to do list gets me pretty anxious.  Most days I dread getting going.  Of course once I do, I realize the list wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.  While I love to work out everyday it is a challenge to get start.  It seems like it would be so easy since I spend more time in the gym than I do anywhere else.  I say this because I have a feeling my thoughts and actions are not unique.  I think we all face similar challenges.  We need each others support and understanding.  I am grateful for the gym and how it provides a support group to help become our best selves.  Last week one of old members Kelly returned to the gym.  She works a good distance away and had found a CrossFit gym near work.  That gym didn’t workout for her and she is back.  I appreciate Kelly as I do many of you.  She was texting other members checking up on them.  Monday night she got one of her gym buddies to join her in the 7 pm evening class.  A perfect example of what I’m talking about.  If you are like Kelly and find social interaction easy please keep reaching out to those who are more reserve.  For you reserved folks, be open to those around you looking to reach out.  We as humans need this interaction to be happy.  Thank you all for making the gym a place I love to come to each and every day.
